Justin and Hailey Bieber’s love story began more than ten years ago, when they were introduced backstage at one of Justin’s Today show appearances in November 2009. At the time, Hailey was just twelve years old, and their meeting was captured on camera.

Hailey shyly shook Justin’s hand, prompted by her dad, Stephen Baldwin, who was friends with Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette.

Their paths crossed again in February 2011 when they attended the premiere of Justin’s documentary, Never Say Never, in New York City. Hailey clarified in an interview that she found Justin “cute,” but she was never a die-hard fan.
