Taylor Swift Treats Eras Tour Crowd to 4 ‘Favorite Songs’ to Honor 113th Show: ‘That’s My Favorite Number’

On Tuesday, July 9, Zurich became the latest European city to be graced by the pop superstar’s record-breaking Eras Tour, after she played her first of two nights at the Letzigrund Stadium. The show marked her first-ever concert in Switzerland over her expansive, 18-year career.

During the show, Swift played through hot temperatures, even acknowledging the heat during the Lover section of her set. “You’re still dancing like crazy,” she said. “Immediate bonus points right off the bat.”

During her acoustic set, where she plays a selection of songs that are unique to each Eras Tour date, the star noted that the Zurich show was her 113th on the tour.

“This is actually our 113th show of the Eras tour, and that’s my favorite number, which I never mention,” she joked to the crowd. “I just thought since it was my favorite number, I’d do some of my favorite songs for the acoustic section.”

Swift then treated the crowd to a mashup of Evermore track “Right Where You Left Me” and the 1989 song “All You Had To Do Was Stay.”

The show also marked just over a year since the star released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the re-released version of her classic 2010 album — and fell on a date memorialized in Swift lore: July 9. (On the Speak Now track “Last Kiss,” Swift sings: “That July 9th / the beat of your heart / It jumps through your shirt / I can still feel your arms.”)

Taylor Swift performs the Eras Tour in Zurich on July 9, 2024.

“Happy July 9th to those who celebrate,” the performer said during her acoustic set, before launching into a mashup of “Last Kiss” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic” on the piano.

At her previous tour stop in Amsterdam last weekend, the “Blank Space” singer played host to boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who appeared to get emotional when she played an acoustic song mashup that included a reference to his 87 jersey number. On Swift’s final night in Amsterdam, the pair were spotted leaving the Dutch stadium hand-in-hand, waving to the cheering crowd.

The “Fortnight” artist will close out her stay in the Swiss city with a second show tomorrow night, before taking her act to Milan this weekend. She’ll finish the European leg of the tour with a five-night stint in London in August.
