Taylor Swift delighted fans when she posed with Prince William and his children during the first night of her gig at Wembley Arena in London.
Many celebrities, including her boyfriend Travis Kelce and pal Cara Delevingne, attended the highly-anticipated gig. It turns out Prince William and his children George and Charlotte are huge fans of the Love Story singer and made sure to watch her perform on Friday evening. The Shake It Off musician, 34, took to her Instagram page to wish the Prince a happy birthday with a selfie taken with him, his children and Travis. She wrote: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,” and added an American flag and Union Jack flag emoji.
Fans even filmed him dancing and singing to Shake It Off at the arena. It’s not the first time Prince William and Taylor met as the two were the talk of the town when they took to the stage to sing a song with Jon Bon Jovi in November 2013 for a charity event. The trio performed Livin’ On A Prayer while William jokingly played the air guitar and high-fived everyone on stage.

The event was held at the Winter Whites Gala evening at Kensington Palace. Their performance was reportedly impromptu much to the delight of attendees. When Taylor gave a speech, she said: “I’m Taylor, it is very nice to meet you, especially under these circumstances.
“It is my first time playing at Kensington Palace or any other palace for that matter. I have to thank you, Prince William, for having me. It’s amazing. To call attention to this age group especially, teens and young adults.” She later joked about meeting the Prince and said: “He was very funny. I was really happy he was funny.”
Taylor and Prince William sat next to each other during the event and spent the entire time joking and laughing. He talked about the event during the chat in 2021 and said he listened ‘like a puppy’ when Taylor told him to get on stage to perform with Jon Bon Jovi.

He said Taylor and the Bon Jovi being at the event ‘nearly knocked him off his feet’. “Little did I think what was going to happen next,” the royal said about sitting down after shaking everyone’s hands. “I’m sat next to Taylor Swift. She’s on my left – and after Jon does his first song, there’s a pause and she turns to me.
“She puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye and says, ‘Come on, William. Let’s go and sing.’ To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I’m cringing at what happened next, and I don’t understand why I gave in. But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm and says, ‘Come with me…’ I got up like a puppy and went, ‘Yeah, OK, that seems like a great idea. I’ll follow you’.”
