Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has appeared to take a swipe at Taylor Swift during his band’s concert at London Stadium over the weekend.
While Swift was busy inviting her boyfriend Travis Kelce to join her on stage on night three of her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, the Foo Fighters were 50 minutes down the road at London Stadium for their own Everything or Nothing at All tour.
Knowing full well Swift, 34, was also in town, Grohl, 55, seemed to take a shot at his musical counterpart, insinuating that she doesn’t perform her songs live.
“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” he said. “So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour’. We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple,” he told the audience.
“That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right f***ing place.”
The supposed diss comes as a surprise given Grohl has been nothing but complimentary of the Blank Space singer in the past, especially when Swift performed a rendition of his band’s massive hit Best of You at a party he also attended, which was hosted by Paul McCartney.
“She gets up, and she starts playing this song, and it sounds familiar,” Grohl recalled on The Late Late Show with James Cordon in 2018.
“And I’m kind of a little bit out of it, and I’m looking at my wife, like, ‘What is this song? I know this song, what is this song?’ And she was playing the Foo Fighters song Best of You… She was singing it so beautiful, it sounded so great.”
It’s likely his recent comments about Swift won’t bite as the superstar has learnt to rise above the hate in her career.
She told the crowd as much at her London show when introducing her song thanK you aIMee, which is said to be about her arch nemesis Kim Kardashian.
“It really makes me think about how every time someone talks sh*t, it just makes me work even harder and it makes me even tougher,” she explained to fans of why she wrote a song about haters. “So it also makes me incredibly thankful for those people.”

The duo have had bad blood since 2016 when Kardashian’s then husband Kanye West released a song called Famousthat had a derogatory lyric about Swift.
The pop star’s team said that while West called Swift to get approval to drop her name in the track, he did not reveal he was going to call her a “b***h” in the lyrics.
Kardashian then leaked a Snapchat video of West calling Swift, allegedly telling her of the song, but Swift argued that the word “b***h” was never mentioned in conversation.
