Drake raps over Metro Boomin’s “BBL Drizzy” sample on his new collab with Sexyy Red “U My Everything”

Metro Boomin joined in on the Drake vs Kendrick feud when he released the ‘BBL Drizzy’ instrumental and offered a free beat along with cash to whoever created the best song using it.

In a typical Drake fashion, he has now rapped over the sample himself. It’s featured on a Sexyy Red track titled ‘U My Everything’.

Drake’s collaboration with Sexyy Red, released on May 24, seems to be a fitting development in the rap feud, especially considering that in Euphoria, Kendrick mentioned their relationship when he rapped:

“When I see you stand by Sexyy Red, I believe you see two bad b****** / I believe you don’t like women, it’s real competition, you might pop a** with ’em.”

These lines appear to further the allegations about Drake’s sexual preferences, which gained attention when the hashtag #zestydrake was trending on TikTok earlier this year.

In contrast, Drake seems to project hyper-masculinity with lines like:

“If you and your BD are calling it splits / Then maybe we call it an accident.”

The song also appears to be an attempt for Drake to shift the BBL narrative by suggesting he has helped women get surgeries rather than undergoing them himself:

“Me and the surgeon got history / I changed a lot of girls’ lives for real, they need a new body, they hittin’ me, ayy (BBL Drizzy).”

BBL Drizzy Saga

While Drake’s most notable drama has been with Kendrick Lamar, music producer Metro Boomin has also been drawn into the rap beef. In the track ‘Push Ups,’ Drake took a swipe at Metro with the line: “Metro, shut your h* a** up and make some drums.”

Then, in Drake’s ‘Family Matters,’ he takes yet another swipe at Metro using his government name Leland Wayne. In the lyrics: “Leland Wayne, he a f*****’ lame”

“The drum thing was laughable so I let it slide but what we not gon do is spread lies and have my loved ones involved nobody ever hit my girl n**** we grew up together she’s a real woman and not even in the industry but I guess #youwouldntknownunboutdatttt,” Metro responded on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, May 5.

Metro then shared a SoundCloud link to his track ‘BBL Drizzy,’ which some hailed as the most hilarious development in the rap feud.

“Best verse over this gets a free beat just upload your song and hashtag #bbldrizzybeatgiveaway,” he wrote.

The BBL reference seems to allude to the numerous plastic surgery rumors surrounding Drake. A BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) involves transferring fat from the belly, hips, lower back, or thighs to the buttocks. Some rappers have alleged that Drake has undergone this procedure.
